Как исправить ошибку “Error finding installer class” при запуске установки Matlab?
Многим инженерам, проектировщикам и программистам хорошо знаком программный комплекс Matlab, позволяющий писать программы с использованием собственного языка программирования.
У многих при попытке его установить появляется ошибка с заголовком “Installer Error”, а дальше текст ошибки “Error finding installer class An exception occured while looking for class”. Причем происходит это вне зависимости от версии Matlab и версии операционной системы.
В данной статье вы узнаете почему появляется эта ошибка, не дающая установить Matlab на ваш компьютер, а также что сделать, чтобы данную ошибку исправить.
Почему появляется “Error finding installer class”?
Причины появления данной ошибки заключаются в том, что в пути расположения установочного файла Matlab присутствуют кириллические символы (русские).
К примеру вы скачали установочный файл Matlab на диск D, в папку с названием “Загрузки”. И путь к установщику выглядит так: D:/Загрузки. При таком его расположении при попытке запустить установку Matlab вы получите известную ошибку “Error finding installer class”.
Как исправить ошибку при установке Matlab?
Чтобы исключить ошибку “Error finding installer class” нужно расположить установочные файлы (папку с установочными файлами) по пути, не содержащем русских символов. Например вместо D:/Загрузки или C:/Users/Иван/Decktop (Рабочий стол) переместить установочный пакет на диск D:/123 или C:/install.
После этого запускаете установку желательно от имени администратора и спокойно устанавливаете Matlab на свой компьютер, минуя ошибку “Error finding installer class”.

Ситуация повторяется на разных дистрибутивах, скачаных у разных пользователей. Проблема везде одна и та же.
При запуске инсталлятора вылазит сообщение «The installer needs a newer version of Microsoft Java Virtual Machine». Нажимаю «установить». После установки обновления инсталлятор требует перезагрузку. Соглашаюсь. После загрузки снова вылазит сообщение «The installer needs a newer version of Microsoft Java Virtual Machine». Снова соглашаюсь, устанавливаю обновление, снова приглашение перегрузиться. И так далее, замкнутый круг.
Специально разыскал образ диска с Матлабом. Та же проблема при установке.
Пробовал ставить свежую версию JRE самостоятельно. Эффекта 0.
Подскажите, как всё-таки установить прогу.

Такого глагола я еще не слышал.
Проблема такая:
при запуске инсталлятора MatLab 6.5 (нужна именно эта версия) в WinXP (SP3) появляется сообщение «The installer needs a newer version of Microsoft Java Virtual Machine». Нажимаю «установить». После установки обновления инсталлятор требует перезагрузку. Соглашаюсь. После загрузки снова появляется то же сообщение. Замкнутый круг.
Пробовал ставить свежую версию JVM самостоятельно.
Не устанавливается. Появляется странное сообщение об ошибке с белым крестиком на красном фоне и кнопкой ОК без надписи. Нажимаю ОК, появляется сообщение «Установка завершена». Но в результате сама JVM отсутствует.

The Microsoft Java Virtual Machine («MSJVM») is no longer available for distribution from Microsoft.
Any products and SKUs that include the MSJVM have been discontinued or replaced by versions not containing the MSJVM. Visit the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine Support Web site for more information.
No product enhancements or improvements were made to the MSJVM.
Public support for the MSJVM ended on December 31, 2007.
Updates, support articles and migration tools developed prior to the December 31, 2007 deadline were made available for customers to download from the Microsoft website.
These updates, as provided in the 2001 settlement agreement, were provided through June 30, 2009.
Короче или ставь на виртуалке ХРюшу сборки года 2005, или меняй версию матлаба. 😉

При нажатии ОК запускается копирование файлов, а потом появляется окно об ошибке установки:

I am not able to run matlab 7 in my pc. I am able to install matlab 7 in my pc. Once you doubleclick on the matlab icon it is opening the command window and it is initialising the command window.
