Подтверждаю. Я себе тоже голову ломаю над такой же проблемой 2 недели. Батарея родная. Ноуту в сентябре будет 1 год. Все работает нормально. Что за глюк? Непонятно.
Аналогично и у меня.Вчера лазил по нету и нашёл следующее:если при загрузке появляется это сообщение,то 1)включите компьютер,предварительно достав батарею,т.е без неё 2)вставьте батарею в работающий комп и зарядите её полностью 3)если это не помогает,обратитесь в сервис-центр))) »
Warning: The battery cannot be identified. This system will be unable to charge this battery press any key to continue”.
This message is most common in the Inspiron line of Dell laptops, with the most error reports from the inspiron 1501, inspiron 3521, inspiron 5521 but other Dell users have also reported it on other laptops too.
Its frustrating, when the dell laptop doesn’t recognize its own battery. Especially when its the original battery.
It doesn’t make sense.
There are a couple of ways to fix this, depending on what exactly the problem is. Usually its either the battery, the charger, Dell Bios configurations or if you are lucky the laptop temporarily not reading the charger chip.
The following solutions apply to any Dell laptop be it a Vostro, a latitude or an inspiron.
Faulty battery cannot be identified
If the issue is the battery you can purchase a Dell battery here for cheap or get it from Amazon. Make sure you search the exact battery of your laptop model otherwise you end causing yourself more.
If you have someone with the same model you can test the battery to see if the issue is with the battery. Swap the batteries and boot the laptop and see if it still says battery cannot be identified. If the error message is gone then you definitely know for sure that you need a battery replacement.
Order one on the above link and replace the faulty battery.
Flea power or hard shutdown
Another solution would be to do a flea power drain.
Whatever the tech people will call it, releasing flea power, doing a hard shutdown or forced shutdown does fix a variety of issues.
Basically what you do is, press and hold the power for about 15 seconds and then you reboot the computer.
I would recommend first disconnecting the AC adapter battery charger, removing the battery. Then press and hold the power button for the 15 seconds.
What this does is, it drains the residual power that remains on the motherboard even when the computer is switched off and disconnected from a power source.
After that connect the battery charger and see if the computer recognizes the charger and the laptop is able to boot from the charger alone.

Now this is important.
If your battery charger is deformed, or frayed or chipped like any shown on the above pictures simple buy another one.
They are cheap. Less than 20 bucks. That’s not something to think about get one here.
Its not worth the risk.
A chipped charger head may end up costing your motherboard. Giving you eve more headaches and costing you more money than if you had bought a proper charger.
Battery chargers may also trigger the error messages and not charge the laptop. I also wrote about that earlier on what to do if the laptop is plugged but not charging
Dell chargers have a chip the laptops uses to identify if the battery is a genuine Dell battery for that model. So if the chip goes bad then its no longer identified. That is why you get errors messages like the above if you buy chargers from dubious places.
Again if you have access to another charger of the same model, swap them. Then check and see if that solve the solves the issue.
Dell BIOS update
Another option for the bit technical, a BIOS update can also fix the issue and make you laptop recognize the battery.
Wait, how do you update the BIOS if the laptop doesn’t recognize the battery? Well, you have to use the commandline. Dell laptop wont update the BIOS if the battery is not recognized. This is to prevent you from bricking you laptop. If you lose power in the middle of updating the BIOS you can serious damage you computer.
However through the command line you can force a BIOS update. Here is an article about updating the BIOS.
To force the BIOS update without the battery, press the F1 key to continue when the battery not recognized error message appears.
Use another computer with access to the internet to download the latest version of your BIOS. To make sure you download the proper BIOS update use your Dell service tag to identify you laptop.

If you have managed to get another battery which is charged above 20%, Install the BIOS file you download. To install right click on the file and Run as Administrator the follow the prompts to install.
If you need to force install the BIOS without the battery charging you do the following.

Hard shutdown worked for me. Dell Inspiron 1764, error message after replacing power input receptacle.

The AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge.
Это сообщение можно перевести примерно так: Тип вашего адаптера питания не определяется. Ваша система будет работать медленнее и батарея не будет заряжаться. При этом, действительно, аккумулятор перестаёт заряжаться и,кроме этого, при загрузке, после этого сообщения приходится нажимать на любой кнопку, чтобы загрузка пошла дальше. Известно, что такая ситуация может возникнуть по целому ряду причин: 1. Сгорела микросхема, отвечающая за идентификацию типа адаптера. 2. Повреждён адаптер питания. 3. Повреждён разъём питания. 4. Перепрошивка BIOS 5. Замена/добавление оперативной памяти.
В первых трёх случаях, для самостоятельного решения проблемы, возможно, потребуется уменеие владеть паяльником. В четвёртом случае, можно попробовать откатиться на предыдущeю версию BIOS или попробовать прошиться, с обновлением DMI. В пятом случае, вытаскиваем ту планку памяти, которую поставили, перезагружаемся, сбрасивыем BIOS на дефолт, снова пытаемся поставить.
Проблема с ноутбуком DELL, не заряжается батарея, процессор не на полной мощности, AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined
По доброй традиции, сообщу вам о моей проблеме с ноутом, и как я её решил.
Являюсь я счастливым обладателем ноутбука DELL Inspiron n5110, версия с процессором Core i7 второго поколения.
И не так давно столкнулся с не очень приятной проблемой. Сейчас опишу вам всё, что происходило с моим ноутбуком.
Как-то запуская ноут, я столкнулся с тем, что он выдал мне предупредительное сообщение «AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined…» и так далее. Это сообщение гласит, что батарея либо сама зарядка не могут быть определены, и требуют замены. Но вроде как он всё равно запускается. «Ну и фиг с ним» — подумал я, радуясь, что ноутбук запускается.
Но не тут то было! Сперва я заметил, что батарея в ноутбуке находится в состоянии «подключена, но не заряжается».
Зачем понял, что ноутбук стал нехило так подтормаживать, видео рендерится в раза 3 медленнее, и вообще общая производительность упала. Я полез в программу AIDA64, и дал ноуту максимальную нагрузку на тесте, температура процессоров не поднялась выше 50, хотя обычно доходит и до 80.
Зайдя в настройки разгона я и вовсе был сильно удивлён:
Частота процессора застыла на отметке 798 и не поднималась, хотя должна подниматься даже выше заявленных 2200. И тут я перечитал ещё раз сообщение, которое мне выдаётся при запуске, и понял, что ноутбук ради безопасности работает в экономическом режиме. Подумав, что проблема в батареи, я снял её и запустил ноут без неё. И вуаля! Всё заработало нормально. Подумав, что проблема в батареи, я даже заказал новую и сейчас жду посылку.
Но, произошла неприятность. На пару секунд выключился свет, и после перезапуска ноута та же ошибка и проблема снова вернулась даже без батареи! Здесь могло сгореть и само зарядное, и провод мог переломится, короче, вариантов было масса.
Я много чего пробовал делать, и выключал ноутбук, вытаскивал всё, держа палец на кнопке включения 60 секунд, и протирал контакты, но нифига не помогло.
Начал искать всякие способы отключить троттлинг (заведомое занижение мощности процессором для того, чтобы температура ноутбука не была выше определённой отметки, и да, я тоже сначала прочитал это слово как «троллинг»).
В итоге, я сделал элементарное действие, после которого всё заработало отлично ДАЖЕ со старой батареей. Обновил bios. Вот и всё! Как придурок скакал вокруг ноута месяц, а в итоге нужно было просто обновить bios. Обновить bios для DELL N5110 можно на офф сайте. Если у вас другая модель ноутбука DELL, но такая же проблема, поищите драйвера bios для вашей модели ноута на официальном сайте.
Обновление происходит очень легко. Вам нужно подключить ноутбук к сети, вставить батарею и запустить скачанное приложение. Дав согласие остаётся только ждать. Куллера начинают работать по полной и после установки ноутбук перезагружается, и страшного сообщения я больше не увидел.

They are three fixes for this error one of the fix can be your answer.
1. Turn off the laptop. Remove the adapter, replace the battery with a newOne. Most of the times this will solve your problem.
3. Last but not the least bios may be corrupted. Go to the Dell website http://www.dell.com/support/home/in/en/indhs1/Products/?app=drivers and enter the details and download the bios that suites your dell laptop.
i would suggest to try the fix order in this sequence 1,3 and 2.
