Can’t go offline: If this is your first time using Uplay on this computer.

Whenever i try to log in offline either via pressing go offline or ticking the always login offline button it gives me the error «If this is your first time using Uplay on this computer you need to log in online at least once before using offline mode.»

Hi Ben_04. Sorry to hear that. Can you please try all of the following troubleshooting steps? You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the Uplay client? If this does not help, you can contact the Ubisoft Support Facebook, Twitter, or make a ticket. Hope this helps if this is your first time using uplay on this computer что делать. Fix for If This Is Your First Time Using Uplay On This Computer You Need To Login At Least Once Before Using Offline Mode

This is how I fixed uPlay and logged in after I got the error of “If this is your first time using Uplay on this computer you need to login at least once before using offline mode”. The solution is actually very easy to do, and it took me a long time to find the answer on the Ubisoft forums. I wanted to play Far Cry 3, but this answer will work for other games too because its just a way to let you login to Uplay. I got the error after installing a patch update for Uplay. Some people suggested on the forums to use your username and not your email address. This does not work, the only solution is the one I cover here.

The problem is you are offline. Yes, I know your computer has internet access, but you have uPlay set to offline mode. Here I will tell you how to switch it to online. First we need to set uplay back to online. On the login screen where you are asked for your email and password on Uplay there is a small gear. The gear is in the top right corner.

Tap this gear and choose settings. Once in the settings menu of play you will find a small tick box for “Always start uplay in offline mode”. Untick this box to tell uPlay to go online. Once you have unticked the box, select save or ok and close uPlay.

Now open uplay again and it will ask you for your email address and pass again. Enter it and it should work and log you in correctly. It might download a patch or update to play after you do this because that is probably why it was stuck.

I hope this fix helped! if it did, please leave a comment with just “thanks”. The forum post where I found this solution was 50 pages long. This was the fix for the uplay error if this is your first time using Uplay on this computer you need to login at least once before using offline mode.

Thread: Microsoft C++ Runtime Library Error | Forums

Exact same issue

Yeah i’m having the exact same issue as unrealfs I’ve done every possible fix on this I can find and nothing works, the only possible fix I haven’t tested yet is to scan my hardrives however they’re both internal so i doubt that is the issue not to mention this problem only started arising in the new for honor update, before that it all seemed fine so i’m unsure whats happened that’s changed this?

Same Visual C++ Runtime error all of a sudden 🙁 Help needed!

Out of the blue I am getting this error on my PC, on two separate installations actually on two drives, one of which I dedicated exclusively to gaming, both getting the same error.

Every time I open Uplay is throws Visual C++ Ruintime Library Error, is says ‘Program: ‘ but does not provide program name, additionally says ‘This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application’s support team for more information.’

Thread: Uplay Can’t Connect to Internet | Forums

Uplay Can’t Connect to Internet

Every time I try to log in to uplay it says login failed «There seems to be a problem with your internet connect. Please check your settings or switch to offline mode.» I’d love to switch to offline mode but this is my first time using uplay and it wont let me do that. I’ve tried turning off antivirus and firewall and it still doesn’t work.

Okay, reinstalling and resetting the hosts fixed my problem but now I have a new one. When I try to log in, uplay now immediately crashes, I think this has something to do with eh update since I could attempt to log in before, but after the patches can no longer do so.

Alright, if I disconnect from the internet. Uplay just tells me it cant connect. So I’m thinking Uplay connecting with the internet is causing it to crash.

Hi, please try opening the following ports;

Uplay Launcher:
TCP: 80, 443, 13000, 13005, 13200

If you are still having issues please contact Technical Support, the link is in my signature.

Greetings fellow threaders. I seemed to have fixed this exact problem last night, after angrily working on it for four hours. I have windows 8, and for some reason Uplay would not connect to the internet. I tried deleting the hosts file, I tried opening various ports in my firewall and my router, and I tried to run Uplay without any background programs running. Sadly, none of this worked. But, when I started my computer in Safe mode with networking, Uplay could connect.

For me at least, it was not a problem with Uplay’s servers, but it was the fault of my own programs running in the background. So, if anybody else is getting the error «Uplay cannot connect to the internet. » try this:

Open the ports TCP: 80, 443, 13000, 13005, 13200, 14000, 14008 in the windows firewall (Find it in control panel)
Then boot up your windows in safe mode with networking
Uplay should now be able to connect!
You only should have to boot up Uplay in safe mode for the first time (so it can update), and then you can run it in normal startup mode.

Before you get too angry at Ubisoft, please make sure the reason your game doesn’t work is not a result of your own doings (i.e. installing Norton). I now happily play AC3 with no trouble.
Hope this helps!

But how to do that in windows 10?
