The data files for Omnisphere are stored in your STEAM folder. When you update your patches or soundsources, you are updating files in your STEAM folder, which was created when you originally installed Omnisphere. Your STEAM folder is located inside your Spectrasonics folder. See the instructions below to find your Spectrasonics folder. Inside your Spectrasonics folder you’ll find STEAM, which may be the STEAM folder, or it may be an alias (Mac) or Shortcut (Window) to the STEAM folder.
On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder is located here:

Storing sound files on a secondary drive
If you are wanting to store your Omnisphere audio files on a second hard drive, you can put the Spectrasonics/STEAM folder onto your second drive. You will then need to create an alias or ‘short cut’ to this location on your main Mac or Windows drive. You can create an alias (Mac) or a short cut (Windows) by right-clicking (ctrl+click for Mac users) the STEAM folder and selecting it from the menu.
Once you have done this, you will then need to either locate or create the following folder on your main drive:
On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be created here:
Macintosh HD/Users/ /Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics
On Windows Vista and Windows 7, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be located here:
C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics
On Windows XP, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be created here:

You will then need to move the STEAM alias folder (or the STEAM short cut folder) into the Spectrasonics folder on your main drive.
Note: On Mac, once you have placed the ‘STEAM alias’ folder on your main drive, you will need to rename it removing the word alias from the file, otherwise it will not work. You should now have a ‘STEAM’ folder on your main drive that is pointing to its actual location on your second drive.
Now when you close and re-launch your host application, Omnisphere should be pulling the audio files from off of the second hard drive.

Первым делом разархивируйте 1 архив :

1. Скопировать файл Omnisphere.dll ( необходимой разрядности : x86 / x64 / aax) в папку где располагаются Ваши плагины и синтезаторы.
(Прежде чем патчить файл Omnisphere.dll убедитесь что в его свойствах не стоит галочка только для чтения! Она там вероятнее всего стоит,уберите ее (иначе ничего не будет далее работать))
2. Отключите Ваш антивирус (иначе ваша DAW будет вылетать с ошибкой) для того чтобы пропатчить файл Omnisphere.dll и корректно его зарегистрировать.
3. Запустите KeyGen.exe (от имени администратора) и нажмите кнопку PATCH в запущенном KeyGen.
4. Перейдите в открывшемся окне по пути куда Вы скопировали файл Omnisphere.dll из 1 пункта и откройте его в KeyGen. Через несколько секунд должна появиться в KeyGen такая надпись : Successfully patched! KeyGen не закрываем!
6. Появится окно с надписью : Unable to access plugin folder at C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\STEAM\Omnisphere. Check folder permissions. Нажимаем в нем OK.
7. Далее появится окно с регистрацией плагина Omnisphere из которого необходимо скопировать Challenge Code нажав на кнопку COPY.
8. Далее вставляем скопированный Challenge Code в KeyGen в такую же строку Challenge Code и нажимает кнопку GENERATE.
9. Сгенерируется серийный номер в KeyGen,который необходимо скопировать и вставить в окно регистрации Omnisphere в строку Response Code нажав кнопку PASTE.
10.Далее нажать кнопку CONTINUE и в проявившемся следующем окне регистрации Omnisphere будет указанно что плагин необходимо переоткрыть в Вашей DAW (Для этого выгружаем (удаляем) плагин из DAW и снова его загружаем.KeyGen более нам не нужен,закрываем его.
11. Далее при первой загрузке Omnisphere появится окно с надписью : STEAM Folder not found.Would you like locate it? Нажимаем в нем OK.
13. Появится окно с надписью : Link successfully created.Restart your host application to begin using this STEAM folder. Нажимаем в нем ОК.
14. Появится следующее окно с надписью : The STEAM folder does not have write permission.Try running as administrator. Нажимаем в нем OK.
15. Появится снова окно с надписью : STEAM folder is not writable. Нажимаем в нем OK.
16. Появится окно с надписью : Unable to access plugin folder at C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\STEAM\Omnisphere. Check folder permissions. Нажимаем в нем OK.
17. И последнее окно с надписью : Cannot load Multi data because it is corrupted (either from song or from multi file»). Try loading another Multi from the Multi browser. Нажимаем в нем OK.
18. Далее снова выгружаем (удаляем) Omnisphere из Вашей DAW и снова загружаем ее.
Также особое внимание обращайте на свой антивирус (даже встроенный в Windows 10: Защитник Windows может положить вашу DAW при регистрации Omnisphere)
В некоторых случаях положительно влияет на работу Omnisphere такой момент как : Индексирование файлов на жестком диске. Для внешних носителей в особенности. Включается в свойствах Вашего жесткого диска.

For some reason, and on a hunch, when presented with the «Caution STEAM Folder not found. Would you like to locate it?», I tried actually going back to the Macintosh HD path (which is not the startup drive right this minute) and it found it through that path. (Macintosh HD/Users/BuzzySmith/Library/Application Support/Spectasonics/STEAM (alias))
I have no idea why Spectarsonics wanted to see the path through Drive 1 (SSD) to Drive 2 (Macintosh HD) to Drive 3 (VIs and Plug-ins). But both are now functioning. I’ll leave this post up in case it might be of some benefit down the road for others.
I searched the forum («Omnisphere», «Trilian», «STEAM») but nothing popped up to address this particular issue although I believe it’s a common one.
I’m trying to create a dual boot system with my new SSD running Mountain Lion (10.8.5) while maintaing the complete workability of my solid SL (10.6.8) system until I’m sure that everything is AOK.
I’m using DP 8.06 on the newer SSD and I’ve managed to re-authorize and run all VIs and plugins except for two manufacturers. FXpansion BFD2 (haven’t contacted them yet) and Spectrasonics.
Trilian and Omnisphere have been authorized on the new SSD, but neither can find the necessary STEAM folder which is in place and working just fine on my older HD and with DP 8.01. Its location is on a 3rd internal drive that I’ve named «VIs and Plug-ins»
I’ve been in contact with their very friendly customer support (Jonathan) but even through a series of emails, screenshots, etc., I’m still at Square One.
«Make sure there is an alias that points to the location of the real STEAM and SAGE folders here:
Macintosh HD/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/
STEAM (alias)
SAGE (alias)
*Lion+ Users:
While holding down Option, click on the Go Menu in the Finder, then select «Library» to access your User Library.
(This is hidden by default in Lion+.)

I’ve done exactly that with one exception. My SSD is entitled «Buzzy’s SSD». I can’t imagine that would affect anything but lesser things have caused great surprise!
Buzzy’s SSD/Users/BuzzySmith/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM (with the «alias» removed from the name as I was directed)
(The alias is pointing to the actual STEAM folder on the 3rd drive mentioned above that I know is working).
When attempting to run either Trilian or Omnisphere I get the message, «Caution STEAM Folder not found. Would you like to locate it?»
I click OK and see the exact route within the folder hierarchy. (see attachment)
When I click «Open» I get the message. «Error /Users/BuzzySmith/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM is not a valid STEAM folder»
The only other thing that perhaps comes to mind (and I’ve Googled) is that my current versions of both VIs are not the newest which has not come up within any emails to Jonathan. Why not upgrade? Because the newer versions are NOT compatible with SL according to Spectrasonics’ web site and I’m really trying to maintain the integrity of the previous system during all of this transition to be able to continue working! 
I hope that I’ve been clear and really would appreciate any suggestions or links that I may have missed in the GearSlutz search.

Некоторые пользователи сталкиваются с такой проблемой (это касается только библиотеки Keyscape). При загрузке большинства инструментов появляется такая ошибка:
» Cannot load SoundSource «Wurlitzer 140B Mechanical Release» from Directory «Keyspace Library». File Wurlitzer 140B Mechanical Release.zmap may be missing or corrupted. Try refreshing the SoundSource Browser»
Пример :
По умолчанию данная раздача была создана на диске E и соответственно Keyscape будет ссылаться на диск E. Если у Вас сохранена папка Spectrasonics из данной раздачи на диск E, то Вам нет необходимости проделывать следующие действия.
Для быстрого решения проблемы потребуется программа : Notepad ++ (СКАЧАТЬ)

Также можно удалить файл ZMAP.INDEX и запустить омнисферу заново.

У многих пользователей возникает проблема в Cubase (черный экран вместо плагина). Если Вы столкнулись с такой проблемой то можете скачать 32 битную версию, она работоспособна в нем. Или проделать все операции по регистрации и установки в другой DAW. В таком случае 64 битная версия плагина будет работать.
Прежние версии Omnisphere 1.5.Х.Х и Omnisphere 2.0.Х.Х нужно удалять полностью!
Иначе будут множественные проблемы при установке Omnisphere 2.3.1 и глюки при работе.

Всем привет! Установил плагин Omnisphere на диск C, а библу на диск D, и теперь не знаю как её запустить. Синт работает, но звуков в нём нет. Как их туда загружать?

3. Выберите какой тип плагина требуется установить: 32 или 64 бита
4. Нажмите кнопку «Install» и дождитесь окончания установки.
5. Нажмите кнопку «Finish».
