Tracklib — это универсальный сервис для лицензирования семплов. На своей платформе ребята продемонстрировали, то, что они называют прорывной технологией, а именно Tracklib Loops. По их словам, это часть масштабного плана по упрощению поиска и использования семплов.

Простой интерфейс Loops позволяет найти «то самое место» в любом треке из предварительно очищенного каталога Tracklib. Нажмите на трек и loop мгновенно начнет играть. Теперь намного легче найти часть композиции, которая просто создана для семплинга. Это как принести автоматический семплер в пыльный магазин грампластинок.

Процесс автоматического поиска семплов может показаться чем-то простым, но это весьма комплексный процесс. Tracklib определяет начало и конец цикла с помощью аудиоанализа на базе нейросетей — технология, стоящая за искусственным интеллектом, — и комбинации ряда алгоритмов. Отсюда ее способность формировать циклы даже в композициях с плавающей скоростью, что часто встречается в музыке, записанной между 60-ми и 70-ми годами прошлого века. «Нельзя просто так взять скорость композиции и вырезать идеальный loop. Ничего не выйдет. Мы знали, что для нахождения идеального семпла придется анализировать треки гранулярно, и единственным что могло помочь были нейронный сети. Так как у нас были очень точные данные по темпу, мы смогли сделать куда больше, чем обычно получается и так родился Tracklib Loops», — объясняет Oskar Sundberg, CPO Tracklib. — «Можно сразу понять гонит ли артист или наоборот задерживается. В общем, это классно работает при поиске лупов в мультитреках и старых записях».

Loops просто замечательно дополняет то, что уже способен предложить Tracklib. Последний выбрали для себя Zaytoven, Inspektah Deck, Jazzy Jeff и Erick Sermon. Pro Tracklib пользователи создали из семплов Tracklib разрывающие чарты композиции для таких артистов, как J. Cole, DJ Khaled, Young M.A, BROCKHAMPTON, Vic Mensa и Mary J. Blige.

We make music licensing as simple as streaming music online, and guide you through each step of clearing your samples.

License to release

If you want to release your new song, you must first get a sample license. We have three price categories, and you know what the fee will be even before you download the audio track. The category is listed below each track when you dig. No surprises.

Revenue share

Depending on how much of the original song you sample, you share a different percentage of your future revenue. It doesn’t matter how long you use the sample for in your new song – you can loop five seconds for ten minutes and it’s still only five seconds of sample time. The total sample length is also cumulative – it doesn’t have to be a continuous piece.

Your songs

The “your songs” section is where you register new songs you’ve made with samples from Tracklib. This is the first step towards getting a sample license. You can also send a registered song to someone else (for example a label or artist), if you are not the one who should be responsible for licensing the new song. After you have acquired a license, you have to properly register the new song with music rights societies, and we guide you step-by-step how to do so.

Press play to listen to the loop. Then try clicking around in the waveform. It’s as easy as that!

You can loop any track on Tracklib

The tracks below are not saved as loops, so playing them will just start from the beginning. But once they’re playing, you can just press the loop button in the bottom player or on the album cover to start your loop. This works on all our tracks, wherever you find them.

Loop any part of all songs

For all songs in loop mode there are grey lines that represent the start of each bar. When you press the loop button and start looping it automatically starts playing from the start of the current bar. Click anywhere on the currently playing (looped) track to start looping a different bar.

Change loop length

You can switch between 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars by using the plus and minus buttons next to the loop button in the player.

Save your loops to collections

Loops can be saved in collections, by clicking the purple heart symbol on a track that is currently in loop mode. You can save as many loops as you wish of one track in any collection.

Download loops from tracks you own

When you’re in loop mode on a track that you own, the download button downloads the current loop. Yes, that’s right, you can start downloading loops directly from Tracklib to drop right into your DAW.

About the Sample

Ben Aiken had two passions in life: working in his family’s barbershop and singing gospel/R&B. The music by the Philadelphia singer was part of Philly Groove Records, also home to acts like The Delfonics, First Choice, and Coupe De Villes.

About Pete Rock

“I promised myself I would make the sampler my instrument,” Pete Rock once told Wax Poetics about mastering the SP-1200 at the age of nineteen. “So I read the manual, like, fifty times. You couldn’t find me for months after that.” His production work since (32 years later now), is nothing short of legendary. From mastering the art of sampling as Soul Brother #1, all the way up to fully working with live instrumentation with his band The Soul Brothers on last year’s PeteStrumentals 3.

Producers including RZA, 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, and Kanye West all cite Pete Rock as a big source of inspiration. He undoubtedly left a long-lasting impact on hip-hop production, first together with emcee CL Smooth as a powerhouse duo from Mount Vernon, New York, who released two albums together in 1992 (Mecca And The Soul Brother) and 1994 (The Main Ingredient). Producing a sling of iconic material from there including for Nas (“The World Is Yours”), Public Enemy (official remix of “Shut ‘Em Down”), Run-DMC (the title track to Down With The King) his cousin Heavy D («Blue Funk»), Rakim («The Saga Begins»), Ghostface Killah («Be Easy»), Jay-Z & Kanye West (“The Joy”), among others.

With a career spanning twenty-plus years, Royce da 5’9” went on from an early Eminem collaborator to becoming a hip-hop phenomenon. Most recently with this year’s Grammy-nominated album, The Allegory, and the last ten years as part of PRhyme (with DJ Premier) and the now-defunct group Slaughterhouse (together with Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Kxng Crooked). Not even counting the times he acted as a ghostwriter for the likes of Dr. Dre and P. Diddy early on in his career.
