As stated above, I can’t save my games, already tried savins «as. «, reinstalling, lowering the graphics settings, starting it as administrator, windows compatibility mode and verifying the game’s cache (actually the game crashes when playing through steam so I downloaded it directly from the game’s page). I don’t know what should I do, I’ll leave a copy of the rgl_config below. I’m playing it on a windows 10, and my pc is a FX8150 8core, 8gb ram 1600mhz dual channel, nvidia gtx970, so it’s not a hardware issue. I’m having the same problem with the normal Mount&Blade. Please help me! I don’t know what else to do!
EDIT: Fixed the issue by constantly switching between compatibility mode and turning the «run as administrator» on and off several times until it worked. Looks like w10 can’t manage to do these things right in the first time. I’ve played it a lot of hours now and the fix seems to be permanent. I hope that this works for someone else.
Could be that your savegames storage space is full? Warband only let 9 saves.
In the other hand, you updated to W10? maybe you need to assign permissions to savegames folder.

Windows 10 aint greatly supported at the moment by many games, been reading trough the forums on many other games and people say theyre experiencing FPS problems, certain programs not working, security threaths and holes in windows etc.
id recommend setting back to W8 or 7 and wait till all the critical updates go trough in the first 6 months or so. no problems after that.
Hi all, I updated to Windows 10 and now Warband fails to save (old games and also new ones). It gives me a message «Unable to same game file» or something.
Can you help PLEASE.
Seems like the game is not allowed to create new files in the save folder.
Try running it as administrator first and see if this helps.

Шел 411 день, я сохранился и сразу же вылетает игра. Я перезашел в игру загружаю сохранение, такая же херня, просто все вылетело. Что делать? Как вернуть сейв? Я не хочу терять 411 игровых дней!

I have 500GB free so space isn’t a problem. Issue started in Windows 7 and carried over into Windows 10, and I did not have Realistic saving on. 28 авг. 2015 в 20:47

There is no silver bullet for this, you have to go and investigate the problem. It is probably a permission issue.
So, can you answer a few questions? (Please make a backup of the directory you’ll be messing with.)
0) What’s your OS?
1) What is the directory which contains the save for the Module that is failing to save?
2) What are the directory’s permissions, for both Read and Write?
3) Which user owns the existing files?
4) Which user does Steam run as?
5) Can you create new games in a new slot?
6) Can you overwrite existing saves?

Do you have a clean Windows10 installation, or did you upgrade from a lower version? Is it Pro?
Do not take offense, I know it is probably the first thing you checked. but you have room on you C: drive, right? I can see that you are not a neophite, just I feel that I should have asked it first.

It really sounds as if Steam, or games started from Steam are running with low permissions.
What does it say in the Task Manager, in the process list, that you can access after you have enabled «More Detail»? Does it display the same user as it does for processes started by you, like the Windows Explorer we discussed earlier?

Damn. What happens if you copy one of the save game files, rename it, then make sure all the access restrictions are lifted?
I.e. you have sg00 to sg03, you copy «sg00.sav» to «Copy of sg00.sav», you rename it to
«sg04.sav», then you look at the properties, and make sure everyone has full control.
If that fails, change the owner to the whole directory, type your name, check it, and then overwrite the permissions to all objects and subdirectories.
Right click, Properties, Security tab, Advanced,
Change Owner, Your username, Check Names,
Replace owner on subcontainers and objects. OK, Yes, Yada-yada,
Choose yourself, Edit/Full control/OK
If that fails, I’d temporarily disable User Access control.
If that fails, I’d go into the Group policies, and look there. But try taking ownership first. The rest is kinda. brute forcey.

дык в том то и дело, что на лицухе ошибка, если б на пиратке было б я не парился и тоже перекачал, а так прст обидно полтора косаря отложил и ошибка, смысла играть не вижу тода если сохранения летят
Попробуй зайти в программы и компоненты, и отключить net framework 3.5 и включить 4.8 галочку как на скрине! У меня перекачивается репак поэтому не могу сказать работает ли.

Неа, ничего не ставил, игра лицуха, даже русика нет. Но я начал новую игру, пока норм все, и с версией непонятки какие-то, патч ноут 1 0 2, но внизу пишет 1 0 0.

Так выглядит проблема с шейдерами видеокарты. Можно поковыряться в компе, или отключить шейдеры в настройках игры.

повреждён архив, не правильное название папки.В названии не должны присутствовать спецсимволы типо восклицательных знаков, названия файла. Запрещены символы-кракозяблы, спецсимволы кодировок тоже не читаются.

Как правило, виноваты косые руки устанавливавшего. Но на всякий случай можно проверить целостность файлов. Для этого в стиме надо запустить проверку файлов:

Если часть сцен незагружается или вылезают вопросительные знаки типа таких:
значит мод скорее всего стоит не на той версии, для которой сделан.

При загрузке вылезает ошибка : «Unable to open. (какой-то файл)»
а)Скорее всего, данный файл поврежден, он неправильный или его попросту нет. Чаще всего это проблема может быть вызвана или ошибками создателей, тех, кто паковал или ошибкой скачивания.
б)Иногда просто бывает, что игра не воспринимает данные файлы, если они сделаны собственноручно. Проверьте их, возможно просто забыли поставить расширение «.dds»

Вы явно силитесь поставить мод для варбанда на Историю Героя. Или наоборот. Уточните на что мод, а потом ставьте.
При запуске игры выбрать «настройки». в настройках можно ничего не менять, просто нажать кнопку «ОК» и игра крэшится.

данная проблема может появляться на самых разных компьютерах, даже самых мощных. К примеру, если установлен нестандартный размер битвы, а также в ряде модов из-за криворукости их авторов или просто специфики движка.РЕШЕНИЕ: Настройки уменьшить, особенно число воинов в бою, трупов, регдол, графику и тд.

Причина непонятна. Пишите в техподдержку, со скрином и полным описанием происходящего, характеристиками компа, версией ВБ

распаковывать его в папке с варбандом
а) Попробуйте увеличить файл подкачки.
б) Попробуйте так: Мой компьютер > Свойства > Дополнительно > в рамке Быстродействие кнопка Параметры > Предотвращение выполнения данных > или поставить галкочку «Включить DEP только для основных программ и служб Windows» или же при установленной галочке «Включить DEP для всех программ и служб, кроме выбранных ниже», затем нажмите кнопку «Добавить» и укажите путь к игре.
в)Или отредактировать в блокноте файл boot.ini (он находится в корне системного диска и является системным, а потому, чтобы он был виден в Проводнике, должна снять опцию «Скрывать защищенные системные файлы»). Сохраните на всякий случай его резервную копию, потом меняйте в этом фрагмент «/NoExecute=OptOut» на «/noexecute=AlwaysOff», конечно же сохранить измененный файл и перегрузиться.
г)Редко, но может быть перегрев, старость железа и многие другие мелкие пакости. Приводить их сейчас я не буду, они редки, скажу, если не помогут пункты «а)»,»б)»,»в)»

это неизвестная проблема, и никто не знает, что с ней делать. Можно попробовать обновить драйвера и перезагрузить.
(Предположительно, надо удалить все сохранения из папки Mount and blade warband savegame (и, если не поможет, все из папки mount and blade warband) в «моих документах»).

Игра стала крашиться, а играю с автосохранением, вылетаю при попытке загрузить сейв.

I’m able to launch the game but my game is unable to save games, or save my settings.
— If I launch a new campaign, skipping the tutorial, then trying to save, the game says something like «unable to save game file data»
— If I try to load a savegame, game crash.
— My game is actually windowed in the settings. If i change it in the game settings (from game UI) to Fullscreen, it changes to Fullscreen; but when I exit game (not alt + f4, normal exit), and relaunch the game, it is windowed again. It applies for every game setting (graphical, audio, etc.).
So my guess is the game seems to be unable to write in «..\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord» files or save this files.
I checked, every directory inside «..\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord» have all Windows rights they need.
I had audio config issues with my headphone, so I made a backup and deleted the whole «. \Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord directory» to test solutions.
Then, I had this problem of not saving settings / not being able to load save games, etc.
I deleted again the directory «. \Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord directory», and uninstalled / reinstalled game from steam.
The installation did create «..\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord» directory and «Configs», «Editor Files», «Online Images» directories, but they are empty.
I restored my «..\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord» directory backup with all my previous working savegames and settings. I still have the same problem.
I’m not the only one to have this problem :
