i get this every time i try to play a game. it seems to happen with certain mods enabled.
the game is basically unplayable now.

then i would think you’d want to remove all mods first to be sure the game does not give you such an error with factory settings. or if it continues doing what it’s doing, look to something else. i do not understand where you argue with the logical process.
Same error as above. After sorting out an issue with mods, I was able to play a game but ONLY if I did NOT select the science/social shuffle. However, the game then made it to turn 180 before crashing so hard that the PC needed shutdown. As a result, Civ 6 managed to ‘uninstall’ itself from Steam. Having now tried ‘install’ (given that some said it would relocate the files which are still there) it is now wanting to download around 8GB of game to do a fill install. Who knows what that will do to the extant install.
This game is one of the worst I have had the ‘pleasure’ of ‘playing’ and I have been gaming for years. And that includes games that failed to work.

I’m also experiencing this problem, especially after the recent update. Though it happens during other civ turns or the diplomacy screen. Try clearing your download cache and see if that helps at all. Comes the worst, reinstall your game as chances are something downloaded wrong during an update, I still experience crashes, but not as much as I did before I decided to reinstall, hopefully, its a bug and a patch will fix it eventually.

Sounds like a memory or HDD error.
Post your PC specs, especially your GPU
I’ve followed everyone’s recommendations with regard to un/reinstallation, verifying game files, updating windows and video card (mine is a 1080ti), and even removed my anti-virus for a short bit to see if that had a conflict.
This is one of the reasons I’m not a fan of these massive monthly patches. Not only does it break MOD’s I like to use, but I’m guessing we can expect minor things like this for the long run.

and now, when I be in Mods selection folder, I ge soething like «weait loading update» (don’t know the original English text) and it looks like an (but what?) Mod gets an update, but it does not download ny, and when I click continue I cannot load any sav but see all with «ddelete» only.
As I understand, there is a new incompatibiulity of a mod and the update does not work, but as it worked until this night, this means, thast there had been a silent game update causing the problem.
If I find no solution it means that I have to finish a half playerd game after 500 turns,. big sh*t.
I really need help with this issue, my specs are
OS: Windows 10
cpu: amd fx8350
gpu:290x amd
I have verified, uninstalled etc.
This happens as soon as i start up the game it comes up with this error every single time. I have done most solutions through this forum.. I have even sent a ticket to 2K..
