Используем Exchange 2013 CU7. Несколько раз встречалась такая проблема: почтовые сообщения отшибались сервером Exchange по причине якобы заполненности ящика получателя, хотя фактически этот ящик наполовину пуст.
Что это может быть за проблема, и куда смотреть, чтобы выяснить причину?

Для этого ящика установлена повышенная квота, это видно по выводу командлета:
Да и письма в этот ящик нормально приходят. За исключением сегодняшнего случая.
Не может ли это ошибка возникать по другой причине, например, из-за загруженности дисковой подсистемы, или еще чего-то?
Как на счет элементов для восстановления?
Тоже все в порядке, запас есть.

Outlook mailbox almost full even though archiving enabled?
outlook 2016. Exchange has a 20gb mail box limit and is hitting closer to 18gb. The Archiving is enabled and the archive PST file that is saved in another location is 9.4gb that should be taking a huge chunk out of the mailbox. One of the sub folders i had found was set to not archive, i set it TO archive yet before and after doing so is still 12.95gb. the archive file grew form 9.3gb to 9.4gb. it’s like it’s either not archive or only making copies.
P.S. it’s sending an email warning every day or every other day.

Did some research, found out while archiving was setup is was not setup correctly! found WHERE you click is important. i high lighted the user email address in the left hand pane after scrolling to the top of all the inbox sub folder and THEN clicked archive, it was set on the ACCOUNT to some date last year, set it to a date this year and shaved off about 4gb of space.
Meanwhile the issues we have been having from time to time were getting frequent and worse so the sys admin spun up an entirely new form the ground up mail server. YUP! Our user got upgraded form 20gb to 30gb! That put our user to about 50% usage from 90%.

If your archiving the data on Exchange or Office 365 that is not going to change the size of data used. The only type of archive that will save space is a PST file stored in a different location.
The reporting of the actual sizes as I noticed sometimes not current. I would try running the Update-StoreMailboxState on the database where the mailbox resides.

He’s basically asking if there’s a difference between:
1. In Outlook right-click on the mailbox and check the size consumed.
2. Compare with size reported by shell in Exchange.

when i right click it does not list size used in outlook 2016, i did however find it under account information just now. it DOES report the same usage as the exchange shell!
Negative Ghost Rider, Outlook 2016. as mentioned before it’s saved to a PST file else where. (as to say on the user’s computer aka LOCAL)
In the past archiving would remove the emails form ones inbox and save them to PST file elsewhere, like is currently setup. but, in this case something doesn’t see mto be chooching the removal part or so i might guess. that or the guy has almost 30gb of emails but, i’m 99.99% sure that’s not the case, as we would have seen a size drop after enabling archiving on a 12gb folder in the inbox and the little to no size increase on the archive PST, which almost points to it not working. do i need to setup a new PST archive for the large folder? as to say is there a 9 or 10gb file size limit on the archive PSTs?

I have Exchange 2010 with storage quota’s set for Issuewarning and Prohit Send.
For example, my mailbox storage limit is 2GB. I set Issuewarning message to be generated at 1.5GB and prohibit from sending at 2GB.
What will happen if I hit 2GB threshold? Will I get a message saying I can no londer send till I clear the messages? If a user clear the messages with hard delete, will he/she be able to send again without administrator/ helpdesk intervention?
I know I could receive messages as I have not prohibit parameter set for receiving.

please remember that the trash folder counts for the quota whereas if a user deletes the trash folder (and retention time is configures on the exchange system so the user is able to restore deleted items) the dumpser doesn´t count for the quota.

For example, if you set the Prohibit send quota to 8 MB, you must set the Issue warning quota to at least 4 MB. If you don’t, the Issue warning quota message won’t be sent.

All our mail is migrated off premise to Office365.
But we still have the Hybrid server active for administrative purposes.
Since a week I see events in te event viewer that ons mailbox is approaching its storage limits:
The mailbox on database is approaching its storage limit. A notification has been sent to the user. This warning will not be sent again for at least twenty four hours.
But what I try, I can’t find this mailbox.
What I’ve tried so far:
It has to be some kind of system mailbox but I would like to find it.
And once found, somebody any clue how to clean it.
Hope someone has any clue and solution for me.

And that should be correct: The error states it has to be on DB1.
Try Get-MailboxStatistics instead.
If you want pipe it all out to a text file
and open and search in that text file
